about all the special entertainment in town this weekend.

The Wau Wau
The Wau Wau Sisters Sisters and Vickie Shaw are both performing at The Crown & Anchor, and
there will be a “Suede Sneak” at the Sunday Brunch at Bayside Betsy’s.
If you’ve never seen the Wau Wau’s, check out their website
www.wauwausisters.com – they are amazing! The hysterical Vickie Shaw
is a Women’s Week favorite and we’re thrilled to have her here. And,
our own absolutely fabulous Suede will be giving fans at sneak hear of
her latest and greatest hot-off-the-press CD on Sunday morning!

This weekend is a great time to catch these incredible performers that
we’re all usually too busy to see during Women’s Week or during the
summer.

Friday, May 16 8:30PM - Paramount @ The Crown
VICKIE SHAW
Vickie ShawEver the expert on sex and relationships, Vickie doesn’t have to go
far from home for material. As a recovering SoB (Southern Baptist) and
out lesbian, she re-gal-es you with tales of her “husbian”, Sgt.
Patch! Vickie has performed her sidesplitting comedy in almost every
state in the Union, sailed on innumerable Olivia cruises, appeared on
LOGO TV, and is featured in the film Laughing Matters – just to name a
few of her many achievements.

Saturday, May 17 8PM - Paramount @ The Crown
THE WAU WAU SISTERS
They made Princes William and Harry squirm, played the Grammy red
carpet, and their fan base spans mustached Mexican Harley riders to
New York’s glittery art set and breathless lesbians in between, this
sweetly charming, utterly sexy, and hilarious performance duet has
been wowing audiences across the states and The Atlantic. The Wau Wau
Sisters have captured the attention of The New York Times, New York
magazine, The London Times, Jane & Jane, and GO, among many others;
they’ll capture yours, too.

Sunday, May 18 11AM - Bayside Betsy’s
SUEDE SNEAK SUNDAY BRUNCH
JUST ANNOUNCED! Pop/jazz/blues sensation, Suede, gives her hometown
fans first listen to her brand new CD “Dangerous Mood,” the eagerly

Dangerous Big Band. Meet, Greet and Enjoy this special opportunity!

More on ptown whale’s

From iamprovincetown.com….

Whale Watching in Ptown by Lynette MolnarYou both should be in Ptown! We have spectacular sightings of whales! You can see them from Herring Cove Beach! Yesterday I went on whale watch boat and I was such a gift to all of us to see so many creatures so close to the boat. So. Make some time and come!

Come to Provincetown For Women for the Whales!

Right whales put on a show…
http://www.provincetownbanner.com/article/news_article/_/57031/News/4/17/2008

Provincetown, Massachusetts got its start because of fish–lots and lots of fish–and the fishing industry. Nowadays it is a tourist mecca for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender folk, and the fish are becoming protected and still there in huge quantities. For example, last summer I was walking on race point beach–which is a pristine beach with practically no seaweed that just goes on forever and ever–and I saw a five foot long seal jump out of the water thirty feet from shore. Just this last week, Ewa from iamprovincetown.com, was telling me that, after work, everyone in town headed down to Herring Cove Beach to watch whales… the water was completely placid, and maybe a quarter mile to half a mile from shore, you could see all these whales congregating and breathing through their blow holes. It’s just all part of the magic that is Provincetown… a world on the edge of America and the edge of extraordinary nature and stunning, natural beauty. There is no place like it.

If you come to Single Women’s Weekend, Women of Color Weekend, or Girl Splash (an all new Provincetown women’s week held in July), be sure to go on a whale watch or park yourself on Race Point beach to see the seals and maybe a whale or two!
